Alabama Department of Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention grantees in District 6 held a press conference to share news of funding for important child safety programs. Included were Family Gudiance Center's two programs in the Greater Birmingham area: Small Wonders, which serves families in Jefferson and Shelby Counties and addresses parental stress resulting when raising a developmentally delayed or medically fragile child, and Parenting Matters, serving the needs of fathers and their families in Jefferson County. FGC was represented by Yolanda Adams (5th from left), and Brandi Welton (11th from left). Representing DCANP was Jessica Jackson (holding check on left). FGC greatly appreciates its partnership with ADCANP in promoting safe and nuturing childhoods for Alabama's children.
