Family Guidance Center of Alabama staff members from the LIFT Program and Parenting Matters had the opportunity to participate in the first ever Father/Son Fishing Event. The event was a collaboration with the Federal Bureau of Prisons and the State of Alabama Department of Conservation & Natural Resources. Children spent time with their fathers while our staff members talked with the families about building a network of support, communication, family styles, and what makes a strong family. The families enjoyed the activities presented and everyone enjoyed spending time together at the picnic that rounded out the event.
