The Families of the Year Awards program was initiated in 1989 by Family Guidance Center as a way to bring positive recognition to families in our communities. The importance of family and the effort needed from all members to keep a family strong are the focus of this prestigious awards program.
Traditional families, step-families, and single parent families are eligible for nomination. Criteria include family teamwork, encouraging individual growth, and family involvement in community activities. Nominated families must live in Central or South Alabama.
The 29th Annual Families of the Year Awards will be presented on November 12th, 2017 at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts. Nominations ended September 18th, 2017.
